Hello Everyone!!!

Excellent weather we have been having at the moment, so I hope you have been out and about enjoying the sunshine. It appears to be on the change though, so let's wait and see!!!

Out and about with Genie Travel.

I did a Mind, Body and Spirit fayre at the local community centre on 13th April which as usual was very well attended. These events don't always result in holiday bookings, but it is good to get myself known out there in the well being field.

On Thursday last week, my travel colleague and  I were invited to an evening of pizza making in Arundel, courtesy of my go to supplier for all things Italy - Typically Italian. Aside for making pizzas, we also learned about the region of Emilia Romagna , and got the first glimpse of Typically's Luxury brochure. A thoroughly good way to keep up with my suppliers which is vital as a homeworker, and the pizzas weren't bad either, even if I say so myself.

Important Tourist news
News came in about a new requirement for an entry fee for people visiting Venice for a Day trip. which was introduced on 19th April and applies to visitors entering the city of Venice between 0830hrs and 1600hrs, and needs to be paid in advance via a special website - 5Euro s if paid for at least 4 days prior to arrival, or 10Euros if paid for within  3 days of arrival, From what I can gather, no formal checking but people could be stopped and checked ad hoc

Also, I have been advised of increases in resort fees for travellers to Greece. These fees are payable locally and from April - October will be:
3star hotels 5 Euros per room per night
4star hotels 10 Euros per room per night
5start hotels 15 Euros per room per night

and then from November - March
3star hotels will be 1.5Euros per room per night
4star hotels will be  3 Euros per room per night
5star hotels will be 4Euros per room per night
