Hello Everybody!!! I hope you are all surviving in this heatwave!!

For those who follow my FB page, apologies, as you will most likely have seen this already. A couple of weeks ago,  I was in Bucharest, on our consortium conference. These occur every 18months or so, and I missed out on the last one due to snow!! That was supposed to be in Munich, but the airport had been closed, and many flights were cancelled. Our HO staff did a sterling job getting as many people as possible on alternative flights, but I wasn't lucky. Consequently I was really looking forward to this years' conference. We stayed at the JW Marriott Budapest Grand, and had our gala dinner at the Parliament Palace!!!Not much time to see Bucharest though, except on our final day, en route to the airport for our homeward flights. We took a walking tour of the city centre, some beautiful buildings, and fascinating statues!! I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't quite so hot!!!
Looking forward to 2027 for our next conference!!

This week Wimbledon starts. I used to watch this as much as I could, but then the big hitters arrived and the fun went out of watching it. So I haven't watched it for a while, and have no idea who the players are any more. How about you?? will you be watching??
