Hello everyone!!!
Well another month over.. it'll soon be Christmas. In the meantime it's time to book your next holiday. Some of my suppliers are taking bookings for 2024, so if you are looking to travel next year, then let's see if we can get that booked for you.
On Friday, I was up in London to attend a seminar/presentation from one of my luxury travel business partners, Seabourn. They are a luxury cruise line operator, with 7 ships, three with 260 suites, two with 300 suites, and two expedition ships with 132 suites. It was very interesting, and if you are interested to learn more, why not visit my new FB group for cruises www.facebook.com/groups/genietravelawesomecruises.
On Sunday I was at the Mind, Body and Spirit fayre at Field Place in Durrington (part of Worthing) which was great. Very busy and hopefully, I can get some potential passengers off on some wellbeing holidays in the not too distant future. The next one is in July in Southwick, so will let you know about that closer to the date.
Nothing planned for me in April yet. I shall be closed over the Easter weekend, but back with pen in hand waiting to book your next dream holiday on 11th. Don't forget that I am generally available from 12noon to 6pm on the weekdays. Generally closed at the weekend, though if an inquiry comes in I will deal with it, and if you want to phone me about a holiday, this can be done outside of my normal hours, by pre-arrangement.
Following on from my last newsletter, the passport office announced a 5 week strike, starting today, so that will delay any passports being dealt with. From what I have read it can take up to 10 weeks to process your passport application, though I have heard it is quicker if it is just a renewal. So before you make any travel plans - CHECK YOUR PASSPORT. If your passport had extra months added when you last renewed it, these extra months will not count when travelling to an EU country, so do be aware of the minimum validity required for the country you intend to visit. Mostly it is 3 months from the date you plan to leave the country you are visiting in Europe. Do check before you go.
Also make sure you have travel insurance; most tour operator are now adhering to pre-covid rules for cancellations.
Most of my inquiries this month have been for summer 2023 holidays, and I have been finding some great offers to Bulgaria. The tourist industry is flourishing here and new 4* and 5* hotels have been opening up. There are numerous resorts now. I last went there many years ago, but we were doing a Lakes and Mountains holiday, and had a week in Drouzbha (now St Konstantine) but now there are resorts like Sunny Beach, St Vlas and Nessebar ( I have to say this looks lovely) so I may have to revisit Bulgaria at some point. Of course it is also a great ski destination too, with good skiing up in Borovets and Pamporovo.
Anyway, that's all for now. I hope you are all well, despite the miserable weather we have been having, and I look forward to helping you with any holiday plans you may be. I have attached a little offer which was of great interest yesterday for a wellness break in Morocco, and our invite to the Seabourn event. Til next time.
