Freedom Direct Holidays gas ceased trading today, and has 200 customers abroad at the moment, with 9 - 10thousand having bookings held with them. They also traded as holidaysyoulike.co.uk, holidaysyoulike.com, hotsunholidays.co.uk and snowdeals.co.uk

As well as that comes the news about Swine flu, and the Foreign Office advising against all but essential travel to Mexico.

Have launched multi million advertising campaigns after statistics show that Britain stands the best chance of reaping a tourism windfall. Hoseasons have taken on more staff at the call centre to cope with the increasing demand for Uk holidays.

And Great Britain has a lot to offer. The only thing we cannot rely on is the weather, but we have the Lakes, The Riviera, historic cities, Theme parks. Mountains. So if you fancy walking in the Dales, boating on the rivers and canals,
